90% of our staff are qualified (NVQ 2, 3 CACHE, BTEC, NNEB) most of our staff are studying at the moment to further their qualifications.

If a child constantly throws sand (for example) we would go the child’s level and explain that we do not hurt our friends, if the child continues we would remove the child to a different activity.
What is your staff turn-over?
Staff leave if they are pregnant, or moving home, however, our staff remains stable due to our working relationships and the training we offer.
Are all staff qualified in first aid?
80% of our staff is first aid qualified. If a child is sick we inform the parents immediately, in case of an emergency we will call an ambulance and ensure that the child receives appropriate medical care and that parents meet the children at the hospital.
Can we have a copy of the menu, my child suffers from allergies?
A copy of the menu will be given at the end of the show around.
How often do the children go out to play?
The children go out to play morning and afternoons, we also go the parks and for walks.
Do you have parents evening?
We have parents evening quarterly but are happy to speak to you at any time
What are your security measures when collecting children?
Our security is tight, we need to see the person who we will be collecting your child, we would like a photo of the person on your child’s file. We also operate a password system.
What curriculum do you follow for pre-school childen?
We are working to the birth to three and the foundation stage. In 2008 we will be following Every Child Matters.

What happens if a child I sick?
In the interests of the child and other children in the nursery we ask if they are kept at home.
