  • Spring and new life is upon us!

Tue 23 Mar 2021 Cherubins team

Wonderful spring is upon us, were the wonder of life for most animals begins. The staff team and I at cherubins are over joyed to inform our families that the children will be welcoming a new furry friend, a little bouncing bunny Rabbit from next week(29th March 2021).

As you can Imagine the children are very excited for the new arrival and have been coming up with a variety of names for the little one. The children are looking foward to caring and getting to know their furry friend.

The bunny will be placed outside in the garden in a gated area so that the children will be supervised at all times when caring and handling their furry friend. Over the coming weeks we are hoping to add to our new extended animal family, to encourage children to build and extend on their learning and devlopment. "Can you guess what we will be getting next??"

  • Recycling theme 15th Febuary 2021- 26th March 2021

Thu 04 Mar 2021 Cherubins team

Lewisham's children and Staff have had a fun filled time learning about recycling

looking at sorting and learning what happens to all our waste, the children have been taking part in sorting diffrent waste matirals into the correct bags and box's. watching sort clips/videos about landfills and what affect our waste has on the enviroment as a whole.

Stargazers and Jasmine had fun removing all the toys from their rooms and giving the children the opportunity to explore recycling materials such as bottles, boxes, packets, tubes and lots more. They had a fantastic time climbing inside the boxes, filling boxes with smaller boxes and tubs, their box play house, painting on bubble wrap, making a wheel barrow from a box, and mark making using the paint pens to doodle on the cardboard that had been placed on the windows/floors.

Throughout the whole nursery the children have created junk modling robots, cars, play house, wheel barrow and dump trucks.
