Mon 19 Sep 202213th September 2022
To all our Parents/carers
Re: 19th September - National Day of Mourning for our late Queen
We are deeply saddened by the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and extend our deepest sympathies to the Royal family.
The Queen has been a constant thread throughout all of lives and her passing will leave an indelible mark on each of us. Her Majesty has been the most remarkable servant of her nation, demonstrating service, commitment, steadfastness and humility through a life of reign which has seen our lives transformed in so many ways.
We would like to inform you that as Monday 19th September 2022 has now been identified as a bank holiday for the funeral of the late Queen. The setting will be closed as a mark of a respect to take part in the National Day of Mourning. This will enable staff, children, and families to pay their respects watching the televised events for our late monarch.
Thank you for your co-operation.

Pet fund raising update
Fri 16 Sep 2022Total fund raising to date is £864.00
A huge thank you to everyone who has helped to raise way more than we appealed for. The obstacle course was great fun and all the children really enjoyed it as did the staff. We are now in the process of preparing to order the wood ect for the build and hope to begin building it early October. We are going to leave the fund raising page up for 1 more week for those of you who still want to contribute. Any money left over from the housing build will go towards the cost of fox proofing the pets grazing and outdoor exploring area. As I am sure some of you are aware that whilst having our tea party yesterday we had a visit from a fox who killed a pigeon just outside our pets area. Therefor we are going to try to enclose it all as quickly as possible. Thank you all again Eileen

Fundraising for pet corner
Tue 13 Sep 2022Cherubin’s sponsored obstacle course fund raiser.
We are raising money to custom build larger housing for our pets. We want to house them together in the same place and are looking at customising a large shed or building our own to fit the area to house the chickens, ducks, rabbit and guinea pig to ensure it is fully fox proof/weather proof and enough space to exercise over the weekend. We will be doing the obstacle course on Tuesday 13th September and Thursday 15th September 2022. Please get as many sponsors as possible. We are hoping to raise around £500

Cherubins day nursery new addition to the nursery family (Gabby the Gecko)
Mon 17 Jan 2022As most of you are aware from the letters, emails and children's feedback our pet Gecko (Gabby) is settling in well she is at times in hiding and really does not like the cold. The children have started to handle her, getting her used to small fingers and quite voice. Gabby still at times finds the urge to run and hide in particular in Hannah's fur hoodie (hide and go seek Gabby).
The children have been helping to make sure that her food is clean and she is well fed, there are pictures on the news letter and on the website to show how caring the children have been towards new comer Gabby and all the pet family.
